The Teachers' High School was established in 1880. It developed into the High Institute of Education in 1929, located in Al-Muneera. In 1980, it came to be affiliated to Ain Shams University . Afterwards, the Institute and the Faculty of Teachers came to be incorporated into one body, i.e. the Faculty of Education in 1969.
